Day 1

Marrakech – Zagora – Dunes of Nakhla

The departure for your Sahara desert tour from Marrakech is done in the morning.

Then direction the High Atlas, where you will pass by the Col of Tizi Tichka. You continue to Ouarzazate.

Around noon you will arrive in Ouarzazate where you will have lunch. After this break, you will retake the road through the Anti-Atlas and visit the Draa valley, in the direction of Zagora. You will see small fortified villages and palm groves throughout the journey.

A stop will be done in Tamnougalt to visit the Kasbah. In Zagora, you will enjoy a camel ride to the dunes of Nakhla. You will stay there for the night and sleep in a Morocco desert camp.

Day 2

Dunes of Nakhla – Zagora – Mhamid

After breakfast, you will return with the camels to Zagora. The second day of your Marrakech Sahara tour begins.

Your guide will then take you by 4×4 to Mhamid. You’ll have lunch in Mhamid.

In the afternoon, you will visit the dunes of Erg Chegaga (driving about 2 hours in the desert). The dunes of Chegaga are the largest in Morocco. After enjoying the sunset, you will return to Mhamid for dinner and spend the night in a Sahara desert camp.

Day 3

Mhamid – Drâa Valley – Ouarzazate – Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou – Marrakech

On the third day of your Marrakech Sahara tour, after breakfast, you start your trip to go back to Ouarzazate.

Visit of the Koranic Library and the pottery workshops in Tamegrout. You’ll stop at Agdz for lunch. You will then continue to climb the Drâa Valley to Ouarzazate.

You will take a break to visit the Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou before taking the road through the Haut-Atlas via the Col Tizi Tichka and return to Marrakech at the end of the day.
